OUR CLASSES
At BrewCity CrossFit we have a wide range of classes to accommodate your fitness needs. If you're looking to improve your overall general physical fitness, then CrossFit classes are your best bet. If you're new to CrossFit, or would just rather get a tough workout in without the high skilled barbell or gymnastics movements, Capacity is your best bet. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to specialize in the high skilled barbell movements, Weightlifting classes are available. CrossFit Group Class
Our primary program takes place in our CrossFit Group Classes. CrossFit classes are one hour in duration and usually consist of a group warm-up, strength or skill work, and the Workout of the Day. Workouts are constantly varied and use functional movements and high intensity to increase your work capacity over a broad range of time and modal domains. We provide instruction in Olympic Weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, calisthenics, rowing and running mechanics, and various other functional movements. CrossFit classes are open to all levels and can be scaled to fit any ability level.
CrossFit Elements
CrossFit Elements is our Beginner Class. Elements classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and run in three-week cycles (6 classes total). Each cycle will begin on the first Tuesday of the month. In the Elements program, we teach you all of the foundational movements of CrossFit so that you're ready to hit the ground running when you join in to the regular CrossFit Group Classes. Elements classes also include a short "classroom portion" where we discuss the methodology behind our programming, goal setting, nutrition, and how to get the most out of your membership at BrewCity CrossFit!
Competitors
If you are looking to compete in the sport of CrossFit, or just increase the volume of your training, Competitors Programming is for you. Our Competitors programming is designed to be performed in addition to our CrossFit Group Classes and will involve additional weightlifting and skill work, and additional workouts geared towards increasing work capacity.
Capacity
The Capacity program is a fun, low-impact class designed to improve your general movement patterns, increase stamina and endurance, and give you a tough, sweaty workout. Think, CrossFit without the heavy barbell or advanced gymnastics movements. If you're new to CrossFit, Capacity is a great way to develop the body awareness, mobility, and metabolic base to help you transition into the CrossFit program. Or, if you’re into long "cardio" or spin classes, boot camps, Barre, or our own Sunday Endurance class, you’ll love BrewCity Capacity! We utilize our proven method of combining constantly varied, functional movements, strategic rest intervals in order create an incredibly effective workout! As with our regular CrossFit program, the daily workout will have both an RX and RX+ version with recommended scaling options so that athletes of any level of experience or ability will be able to get in a challenging workout every class.
Olympic Weightlifting
Our Olympic Weightlifting program is designed to prepare athletes to compete in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, which involves maximal lifts in the Clean & Jerk, and the Snatch. We provide quality instruction in these two lifts and provide a program that is designed to get our athletes lifting their best safely.
Gymnastics
The CrossFit Gymnastics class is a skills focused class designed to improve your technique in various bodyweight/gymnastics movements, including pull-ups, muscle-ups, handstand push-ups, handstand walking, toes-to-bar, and rope climbing. We focus on a specific skill each month and each class builds on the last in order provide you with new progressions towards the movement of the month. Classes meet on Thursdays at 5:30pm and Sundays at 10am.
